It is our pleasure and enjoyment to produce locally grown vegetables which farm members have the opportunity to harvest in a safe, friendly environment. Our production methods focus on our concern and commitment to have the least impact on the environment while developing improved ways to grow vegetables and greens farm members want to eat-without the use of heavy chemicals.
VEGETABLES THAT MIGHT BE GROWN AS A FOUNDATION CROP
Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Onions, Carrots, Green Beans, Eggplants, Beets, Bell Peppers, Kale
This farm is an effort to supplement your diet with vegetables and greens farm members will likely eat two or three times a week.
Joining a Co-Op typically requires a membership fee. In our case to become a farm member requires a $100.00 deposit which actually becomes your credit balance to pick against. Initially, you will be able to pick $10.00 to $20.00 (or reasonable amount) of vegetables per week until you use up your $100.00 credit balance. At that point you have the option to join again with another deposit.
One of the main ingredients of a successful local farm is having active farm members.
Due to the perishable nature of ourA crops we need you to come and pick on a regular basis. Members have told us they think this is reasonable so please help the farm be successful by being consistently active.
It is possible, for a variety of reasons, an interruption in production may occur occasionally. Also, since this is an Agriculture environment with uneven ground, you accept your own persona/liability.
